I’m smiling at your comments about ds and adult meals. I had similar conversations with dd. 10/11/12 is an awkward age for meals as some kids meals are massive and some not enough. I knew which places had decent kids portions but I think they want to be grown up. Denny’s, friendlys and first watch are decent for kids breakfasts if you make it there.

China Max - Vineland Outlets
We nipped through the food court and decided we fancied a snack do we got some Chinese to share. We ordered one plate with bourbon chicken and sesame chicken and ds and df had spring rolls as well. $17, it did the job!

Olive Garden
Olive Garden was nice and quiet as we were pretty early. I had a voucher for a free starter so we chose the lasagne fritta. It was very nice as was the salad. Df and I had a watermelon margarita and a twisted strawberry lemonade. These were on offer at $5each, they were nice enough but small. No Id asked for tonight. Ds was happy enough to have a kids meal tonight as I think the choices were better. He chose to create his own pasta with fettuccine, Alfredo sauce and shrimp and fries as a side. I thought this was pretty good value and fairly sizeable. He had masses of shrimp. Df chose to create her own pasta as well and had grilled chicken with creamy pesto. She really enjoyed it. I had the shrimp scampi pasta which had fresh tomatoes, angel hair pasta and asparagus. It was lovely, it wasn’t an overly large portion though. The server was friendly and we left a tip on the full amount before the discount for the starter. Including the tip it was $70 but the food was good and everything was really nice.

I know, I can’t believe we favoured Denny’s last summer. Ihop is so good.
That’s my normal breakfast too. So good but absolutely massive.

I know sometimes it’s just the thought of having a kids meal. He always seems to feel he’s missing out. He was happy at Olive Garden though with the choices, he gets himself fair annoyed at the injustice of many kids menus only having pizza, burgers and chicken nuggets.
Thanks. They were delicious. We had a lovely chilled out first day.
