Landscapes of Flavour - AOA
We decided to head to Art of Animation for a wander and to get some lunch. Create your own pastas Ds and I had a pasta each with shrimp, Alfredo sauce, mushrooms and peas. The only difference was mine also had spinach. Served with a garlic breadstick. The pasta was delicious. Df had pasta with pesto, chicken, mushrooms and onions. She really enjoyed hers too. They are pretty big portions, I did notice though they were a bit more stingy with the prawns and veg than when we were there the last time. This was around $50 with a couple of juices. I also took some pictures of the new refillable mug designs. I’m hoping these are still around when we are on the dining plan in the summer.

Starbucks - Mco
After such a huge lunch we were not really hungry enough for any sort of meal at the airport so we just had a snack and a drink from Starbucks. Ds and df had cinnamon twists and I had a blueberry muffin. Ds had a very berry refresher and I had a mango and dragonfruit one. Df had a caramel coffee frappacinno. I think it was just over $20. In hindsight we should have got extra food to take on the plane.

Wow a long day at MK. The meal at Skippers looked yummy and you got in a few essentials...dole whip and Mickey shaped cookies are a must.

BA plane Food
Spoiler alert 🤢 Drinks and pretzels - fine Main meal choices were chicken and mash or veggie pasta. We all went for the pasta. It was creamy basil - not really. We all picked at a few bits of this and left it. The salad was normal with a balsamic dressing which was ok. The pudding was chocolate, ds and I didn’t try it. Df did but she didn’t like it. Cheese and crackers were the highlight. I don’t think they offered wine with the meal like they normally do but can’t be sure. Breakfast was disgusting. It’s still the croissant which is chilled but now it has a tomato cream cheese filling that looked like mild and smelled disgusting - none of us ate this. In fact it looked like hardly anyone on the plane ate this. It came with a cereal Bar which was better than the dry one they used to serve. We ended up eating these for breakfast with our drinks 😂

That croissant just sounds wrong... why can't they just serve a plain croissant and a little thing of jam?!

The pasta at AoA looks delicious. We had similar at POFQ a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The plane food, what a let down. But I've never really been a fan and always wonder why they just don't serve a slice of pizza or a sandwich and crisps (like a meal deal).
Ive really enjoyed your report, and it sounds like you've got another holiday planned so something to look forward to 😀 |

Tomato cream cheese filled croissant sounds awful, I quite like the look of the pasta though, admittedly there are not many pasta dishes I don’t like.
I have been admiring the Starbucks offerings, they seem to have a much wider variety over the pond. |

Yeah it wasn't really quick service.
I don't know if I would bother with Red Oven again. I like the table service places in Universal. Sounds like it wasn't a blip then. If we do go back at least I'll know that a wait is pretty likely. Breadbox sandwiches are awesome. Breadbox is so good and so shareable. That orange donut is amazing. Just share a bit of everything, that donut is too big for me on its own.

That looks nice. I'd be interested to hear how you find it.
The apple fritter was really tasty. Don't let the appearance put you off. It was a short trip but perfect. Home safe. It was fine but we needed to run through the airport to catch the connecting flight, I was way too shattered for that. Thanks for reading. I couldn't believe how warm it was in the car going home.

You should.
It was a 10 hour stint! Skippers was great, we are there again in the summer.
