I'm sure the older ladies had their reasons for such wise advice From experience getting married is an expensive business, especially if you do it more than once (or marry DW )

Gah it was a hopelessly short trip this time! Enough park action to fill an afternoon enough outlet shopping to melt a credit card KK definitely a bargain, surely needs to be a future budget friendly dessert option @$2.50 for a couple of doughnuts on the way home

Just finished another binge read of your food report.

I can’t believe how big your chicken/waffle breakfast was - ha
The Kk’s really do look so yummy. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever had a KK. Had a couple of dunkin donuts over the years but no Kk’s - I obviously haven’t lived - ha ha

Really enjoyed reading it 😊

Perfect you need to do a Krispy Kreme at some stage though, they make Dunkin Donuts taste like cardboard (at least they did last time I tried one which was a while ago!). The Hash House a Go Go chicken and waffles was stunning, it was a shame to knock it over

Right, Longhorn is on the way. And thanks again everyone for reading, liking, commenting etc.

Lunch - Longhorn Steakhouse

Shockingly for a DIBBer, before this holiday I'd never been to a Panda Express or a Bahama Breeze or a Longhorn. Well two ticked off this time and Longhorn was to complete the set on the last day.

We pulled up to one of the branches on I-Drive, near Pointe Orlando again. It was a fairly late lunch to line up with airport timings and they were relatively quiet. We started with very boring diet cokes, this hasn't been a great holiday for drinking - too much driving, a missed opportunity with no DD along. Mind you we did briefly consider on Day 4 buying a one day EPCOT ticket, booking Chefs de France dinner and drinking around the world. And then I worked out what it would cost

We also had the bread. Nice tasty nutty bread with butter

DW went for the 6oz filet rare with mash.

She really liked this (aside from forgetting to ask for it without pepper which she prefers). I tried it and we both agreed while it was not as good as Kres Chophouse it was better than the steak half of the massively expensive Surf and Turf dish at Eddy V's. We were impressed!

My order was a lunch combo, the bacon cheeseburger with the loaded potato soup as the side

This was good, a nice amount of food for lunchtime as the burger is 1/3lb, a touch smaller than the regular entree. It reminded me a little of the Shake Shack burger, the combo was actually cheaper than the Shake Shack burger Anyway it was good as was the funny little pot of crisps with cheese sauce and bacon bits. I loved the loaded potato soup this has all the creamyness, cheese, bacon, green but etc, of a loaded baked potato but in a liquid form, magic! Tremendous value my order for $9 it's no mystery why this chain is so popular

I had just enough room for a small dessert and ordered the peanut butter jar for $3.49. This was good too although PB hater DW looked on in disgust. What can I say!

All in all great value at $41. We will be back!

After this it was away to the airport so just the flight meals and some post-trip noodling to wrap it up.

Great longhorns report. The soup is really good, I’ve tried to make it a couple of times with varying success.

Yoru burger combo at Longhorns looks tasty, but I'm a bit cross you didn't have a steak as it's your first meal there! That loaded potato soup looks delicious though so I'll forgive you.

Excellent report , you should try the baked sweet potato with cinnamon sugar if you go back to longhorns , oh and a steak 😂😂 . Really enjoyed reading so thank you for taking the time to do it and sharing your holiday 😘 .
I can’t decide whether to do one ,I’ve used the dibb app before but no idea where to start on a food one .

Is there a recipe out there? I'd imagine a potato soup with other stuff dropped in would be the way to go. Can never resist a real loaded baked potato but this is a good alternative. Thanks for all the comments

Lol there is a logic to not getting a steak I'll explain below The soup was divine I'll find it hard not to get that next time we go

You see I like sweet potatoes and I love cinnamon. The flavours go but I can't quite imagine the two together in a baked potato. I will have to give that a try You absolutely have to write a food report if you need any help with the technical side drop me a message

So there's background to not ordering a steak. I've mentioned before DW eats little and often. This is actually a medical thing, she has a smaller stomach and can't eat a large quantity of anything dense in one go. That's the reason for steak that goes home and is eaten later in sliders, doggy bags, the 4am catfish etc. So with this being the last meal we couldn't take it home and I knew I'd get a good chunk of hers to try - also why I ordered a smaller burger. So now you know!

I thought it sounded pretty gross but it actually is Devine . Dh still raves about it when I do sweet potatoes .
I’m still torn on where to eat as I reckon ds will want to be in HS for our onsite stay to make most of it , and every video I watch or report I read just tells me he is going to be blown away with galaxys edge . In fact I can’t find a reason why no one would not like it if I’m honest Star Wars fan or not . 5 nights at mama Melrose won’t make a great read 😂😂😂😂

We've tried Sci-Fi Diner and Brown Derby (one good atmosphere, the other good food) at HS plus lots of the QS (mostly bad). Want to try 50's Prime Time on the next trip and still haven't made it to Mama Melrose. Baseline taphouse is also good for a quick drink (craft beer flight )

Very jealous about HS and Galaxies Edge, that will be amazing! will the hotel be open when you go?
