Nomad lounge

Everest was shut for a bit last night so our fastpass was cancelled. We were passing the Nomad Lounge and had always planned to try it so it seemed as good a time as any.

I had a Lamu Libation
Africa; Starr African rum, Cruzan banana rum, guava puree, with tropical juices topped with Gosling's 151 rum float

Ds had a Kiama Mama
America; watermelon and Sprite

Dh had a beer
Wakulla Hefeweizen

We had truffle poutine to share. Ds and I loved these.

We also had the charcuterie plate which was nice as well.

I really liked it here and would happily return.

Animal kingdom snack

We finished off the night with an ice cream float - pineapple fanta and vanilla ice cream. Ds felt this was life changing.

Looks lush! You picked my fave from ghirardelli too - dark choc and raspberry 😍😄

It is really chilled sitting there. Although we sat there for a bit last night after filling our mugs quite late and not quite so chilled as there was an American guy chatting with his mate after coming back from the game and his language was choice to say the least.

I’ve always enjoyed it there and would happily eat any of those 3 mains or the chicken. The rub on the lamb must have turmeric on it though as ds ended up with a yellow face which we didn’t notice till we were back outside in the sunshine- queue the pre teen strop

I’m sure you will love that cookie num num. snack choices have been really good this time.

We didn’t find the temperature too bad but to be fair it was really sticky outside so the air conditioning was very welcome.

You can’t really go wrong at Teppan Edo.
Rpr is nice too, we like it there but the location at HRH wins it for me hands down.
We’ve decided to do another night at Universal this week and we are at Portofino as it was significantly cheaper on the annual pass rate than the other 2 this time. Massive rooms, amazing beds and great quick service pizza are my highlights there.

Please could I ask you for a favour if you will be visiting the POFQ food court again?

Would you mind asking if they sell Gluten Free toast?

I’ve seen people eating normal toast there but didn’t know if they did Gluten Free or if I needed to take my own bread.

Thank you so much
Hi thanks for reading.
Yes ofcourse I will try to remember to ask the next time we are in there for breakfast.

Ooh - I need to see what you make of PBR. I am so undecided - I'm thinking of doing HHN on the night we stay, and I'm worried that PBR is not as close as HRH - do you think the distance at PRB is too much. It's the only one I haven't been to. We have annual passes too - but there's no Club Level coming up.

Oh wow I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice the breakfast looks at POFQ... last time we were there they were doing the food court out so we didn't really eat a proper meal there (just lots of beignets!), but they look fab!

Thanks so much for sharing.. have a great day!

HS Snacks

We started with snacks in Toy Story Land at Woodys lunch box.

Lemon and Blueberry pop tart

Chocolate, hazelnut and candied bacon pop tart

I thought both of these were ok but they did a fruity one at Christmas which was way better

Mystic portal punch
Powerade Mountain Berry Blast with flavors of lemon-lime and tangerine

Starbucks

Mango and dragonfruit refresher

Carrot cake cookie.

Both delicious again

Metroville Bakery

We met up with friends and both families had a cookie num num and key lime pie to share.

Cookie Num Num again delicious

Key lime pie on a stick, we were not particular fans of this.

Lunch - Nine Dragons - oop

We loved our food here at Christmas and were eager to try it again. It’s not particularly pricey for Disney.

Dh had a beer and ds and I had Diet Coke.

We had the most amazing table for people watching.

We ordered the canton pepper beef and the honey sesame chicken. Both were lovely but I think the beef was the best. Perfect portion size between the 3 of us.

Pofq food court

Before heading to the Orlando City game we thought it might be an idea to get something else to eat.

We ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta. This was nice enough but not as good as the create your own as I’d also add in mushrooms normally and there was no breadstick like before.

Dh and I shared a purple haze raspberry beer. This was nice enough but not particularly fruity.

We also ordered the jambalaya. This was disappointing! Ds loves to cook and this is his speciality dish that he makes us for dinner once a week and his is amazing so it might be an unfair comparison.
