I’ve been really impressed with loads of the snacks. The cookie num num is definitely a must though.

We’ve stayed there twice now but only done Starbucks and sals. I liked Portofino but really like RPR and HRH as well. We’ve discussed which one to go for next and agreed we’d be more than happy with any of the 3, they’ve all got different things going for them.

Thanks. We’ve had a very busy few days, all good fun but exhausting.

I'm so you happy liked Cali Grill Brunch, I skipped it this year in favour of dinner and fireworks view for our penultimate Disney day, but now I'm wavering. We've never done the dinner at Cali so I guess we should give it a go, but your photos of the food look awesome.

I'm getting loads of tips from you for pofq, in the second half of the holiday we've got a few later starts. I was thinking of trying to get to DS and doing Wolfgang puck for breakfast but given the yummy breakfasts you've had I'm not sure I'll bother!

Hope you have a fabulous last few days of holiday.
Thanks, it’s been great.

California Grill Brunch was lovely, it’s a while since we did dinner there but we enjoyed that too and I love spending time at the contemporary. It’s hard to fit everything in.

We’ve not really spent that much time eating at pofq but the breakfasts have definitely been the highlight along with the beignets. We are hoping to go to Wolfgang Puck express tomorrow but maybe do an early lunch as I find their breakfast choices not great as I don’t like eggs and the sweet things are a little too big for me.

Might need to go back to ghiradellis as well as loads of credits left!

I always question my choices too. Sounds like you have a fab trip planned. Skippers is a great MK choice.

Thanks for taking the time to share your report with us, it's tiring I know - thank you!
thanks for keeping reading and commenting. I enjoy doing the reports but all the photos of Cali Grill Brunch pushed me over the edge to find the find the time to get that post done.

Thanks. It was certainly one of the highlights. I do think the hard rock hotel one was good too and is half the price.

No. It was great but $90 per head is crazy money. I’ll be happy with the one at the kitchen again next year for half the cost.

Thanks, it’s geen great but we’ve struggled with the heat more than normal this year. The real feel temperatures are just mad.

Nothing like the create your own ones. It doesn’t taste the same at all even. Pofq is the same it’s a set item on the menu.

I've never fancied grits but the shrimp and grits does look good.
ThAnks, I’m glad we tried it and it was delicious not sure I’d want to risk it anywhere else though, I didn’t even taste the one ds had yesterday morning at HS.

I could eat a cheese and cracker platter right now while reading this!

Thanks for the update on the POR pasta - very disappointing.

All the food at Yachtsman looks amazing and I’m always in awe of your sons food choices - there’s no chance of my daughters being so adventurous!

Starbucks - snack

As we were doing the 4 parks today a bit of air conditioning and hydrating was needed.

I love these massive refreshers as snack credits. I’ll be thinking I can carry on this habit at home.

Nomad lounge - AK

More hydrating and air conditioning.

Kiamma mamma again for ds

Snow leopard for me - I loved this so refreshing,I may have had a second one...

Snow Leopard vodka, Belle de Brillet pear liqueur, mint, and lime juice topped with ginger beer

Df had an Annupurna Zing. She liked this and it came with a fancy lotus glow cube.
Bombay sapphire east gin, passion fruit puree, mint, and lime juice topped with ginger beer

My Dh had a kungaloosh beer followed by a Hefeweizen.

Other Dh had wine

Ds and friends dd went off to do a 2nd fop Fp followed by dinosaur and got their own snacks at Mr Kamals, no photos...

We had the bread service which was really nice

And the truffle poutine again

A lovely afternoon, very chilled considering this was our 3rd park out of 4. I love the Nomad lounge.

Storybook Dining - Artists Point

We did this a few weeks after it opened and loved it. We came away feeling like it should have been a 2 credit dining experience. The only really consistent thing between that visit and this one was the excellent character interaction.

Our table was booked for 7 and we were seated about 7.20pm.

Server was fine but not great. It was almost like well you are a table of 6 so I’ll get my tip anyway.

I had the enchanted apple which was good. Skyy citrus vodka, DeKupyer pucker sour apple and white cranberry juice

Df had the Alchemy.
Uncle Val's gin, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, watermelon. She thought this was a little strong for her.

Ds had the through the Forrest. wildberry monin, lime juice, mint. This was ok.

The others had normal drinks. I did hear the server mention to the table behind that you could have a soda in addition to the speciality drink on the dining plan.

Starters were fine.

I really liked the mushroom soup.

The hunters terrine wasn’t really for me but the others really liked it.

The wicked shrimp were good.

So all good so far. We were barely finished the starters when the mains appeared. Now it did annoy me that main plates were put down practically on to of the starter plates. Our server reappeared afterwards and started clearing around us as we were eating our mains.

Ds and I had the magic Mirror Slow-braised Pork Shank,
celery root mashed, wilted winter green.
Mine wasn’t as warm ( I say warm not hot) as it should have been, it was cooked well and the flavours were nice.

Dh had the Brother's Grimm Roasted Chicken,
Herb-crusted Potatoes, Fire-roasted Petite Squash, Golden Raisins. He liked this better than his main at christmas.

Df had A Stroll Through Nature,
asparagus, leeks, arugula, gnocchi, sage, parmesan. She thought this was ok but a bit salty.

Df had the royal prime rib. horseradish mashed potato, carrots, popover, jus. He thought this was ok.

Their Df had the land and sea which was pork and clams with noodles. She thought it was ok but not that nasty.

The server popped by to check we had everything but did not enquire to the quality of the food at all and filled water on our request.

Dessert was set

Miner's Treasures,
sponge cake, chocolate gems, and berry panna cotta.

Fairy Tale Gooseberry Pie,
meringue, gooseberry

"Poison" Apple,
dark chocolate-apple mousse, sour center

The Hunter's Gift to the Queen,
crackled maple popcorn, ganache heart

The gooseberry pie was nice. The poison apple had changed to chocolate mousse and tbh just felt cheaper.

I’d say overall I felt that they had cut costs a little, veal to pork, the little apple puddings, more tables. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t a bad meal it just wasn’t great. Again the server wasn’t bad, she just seemed to be uninterested and going through the motions she had to.

I thought I was clouded by having such a good experience before but our friends felt this was a once and done. It’s a lovely setting and the characters are great. I’d only go back if MIL was with us again and wanted to meet her favourite characters again otherwise that’s it for us.

On the plus side we headed over to MK afterwards and finished our 4 park challenge 16.5 hours after we started!

Shame storybook was a miss. I’ve got this booked despite nothing really standing out to me as a main and dd will have to have the kids despite being 13 due to fussyness. Putting mains down when you still have appetiser plates is poor.

I had Storybook Dining down as a must do, but I've changed it to 1900 Park Fayre - which I'm now undecided about. Food looks nice, but there's honestly not a lot there that I'd eat - so probably a waste of time. I'd be so annoyed if they hadn't cleared my starter

BOG breakfast

Arrived at MK around 7.30 and were let in just before 7.45am.

We sat in the ballroom.

Ds and I had the meats and cheeses. This was nice.

Dh had the Gaston’s feast, he thought it was ok. I had the fruit with my meat and it was good.

The pastries were fine, I didn’t really have any but the other 2 did.

We all had soda.
Never in a million years would I pay $28 a head for this but it’s a nice use of a dining credit.

We left at 8.45 and there was a fair line for 7d but it wouldn’t have taken long, they were however having technical issues and were doing a delayed opening so we left and headed to Peter Pan for rope drop instead. I think 7d opened about 9.40am.
