Love Bob Evans, good value comfort food

I felt the same about Golden Corral when we visited in May this year. I felt the food choices were poor, we have been visiting for years and won't rush back.

The thanksgiving meal looks fab, I’ve put Bob Evans on the list for next month, never tried it before.
Thanks for sharing 😀
Thanks. Glad it made you laugh! Have a great time. Thanks for reading.

Oh yes! That's a shame. Wondered if it was just a one off but maybe not then.

Day 8 - Miller’s, Carlos Bakery & Volcano Bay

Day 8 - Miller’s, Carlos Bakery & Volcano Bay

We had another leisurely morning and ate breakfast in the villa.

These are all sorts of wrong!

All the girls enjoyed this. I focused on the fibre and whole grain and not the colour!

I enjoyed toast. You can take the girl out of Essex but...

Never seen this stocked at Super Target before.

We spent some time shopping today and headed to the Outlets on International Drive. We stopped for a quick drink in Panera Bread. Mango and strawberry smoothies. A few slurps before I remembered!

We then drove to the Florida Mall and stopped off for a late lunch at Miller’s across the road. Not been to this location before but really liked it. Maybe it was due to the time we went but it was much quieter than normal. Drinks were ordered and quickly arrived. Server was pleasant and friendly.

I didn’t actually need to look at the menu as I was there for one thing only. And that was the zinger mountain melt. I chose the honey BBQ sauce.

Tasted even better than I remembered and enjoyed every mouthful.

Don’t think the photo does it justice to how large the plate was.

Steaks. Cooked exactly as asked. Given a choice of different sides and toppings.

Asked for a jacket potato as the side but somehow ended up with mash too.

The potato could’ve been a meal in itself.

Cheesy fries.

No need for me to see the calories thank you. I didn’t add 1,990 calories to My Fitness Pal!

Everyone really enjoyed this meal and were keen to return but sadly we never found the time to do so.

$41.20 very well spent.

On the receipt there was a 15% discount if returning within 7 days.

G was gutted that he was too full for dessert. Captain Jack’s buried treasure is his favourite.

We rolled ourselves off our chairs, into the car and over to the Florida Mall. We did a fair amount of walking and a little shopping.

Saw this in Hot Topic but due to the size and weight had no idea how we could get this home!

Headed to Carlos Bakery as our youngest enjoys watching this on TV.

Looked yummy but wasn’t hungry. I do sometimes wonder if these places are hyped up and end up more style over substance.

However, our youngest chose a cookie sandwich which she really enjoyed. Said it was soft and light. Thank you Carlos!

We then headed off and spent the evening at Volcano Bay.

Car parking is free after 6pm.

The drive, parking at Universal and catching a bus was straightforward.

Weather was much better this time!

We did look up lovingly at our room at Cabana Bay and missed it and the 1 minute walk!

I have happy and fond memories of this evening. I did the gentle lazy river and then left the others to it. R & I were happy on a sun lounger, watching the world go by, reading or sitting at the bar.

I loved my Wai Waiterwatermelon cocktail. It went down very quickly and easily and I’m not normally a quick or big drinker...

Cocktail menu from Dancing Dragons Bar

Oh to be back there now...

Tomorrow - Super Target, Publix, Celebration & Chuy’s.

Thanks for reading.

Just caught up Melissa, what a lovely food report, and so many of my favourite snacks in there - frozen butterbeer, bear claw, Mike’s hard lemonade and all the other chocolatey goodness! Looking forward to reading more x

It was our first time there. Previously stayed at Emerald Island.

It was. Probably one of my favourite times to go. Enjoy.
