I have decided not to venture far today. My feet are a bit better but I don’t want to aggravate the blisters and think a day of rest will do me good. I am a lot more comfortable bare foot than in shoes. I went down to Spyglass Grill for breakfast earlier and stayed there for an hour or so people watching.
Soggy last night pasta for lunch me thinks. Although if I get stir crazy I might pop (on the bus) to the main resort for a bit. |

I don't blame you. Are you able to Uber somewhere for some flip flop type footwear when Nev gets there? Xx

That PI breakfast of Nev's looks pretty tasty, I can tell he wasn't too hungry though that's definitely a small plate and he didn't partake in the pain au chocolate as breakfast dessert.

PI breakfasts are usually pretty good. I never eat much as I’m not a breakfast eater plus I’m always too excited/nervous but DH and DD always eat loads. I often wish I could eat more as it looks so good 😀
I’m sure it will be nice for you to see Nev again this evening 😀 |

I know poor thing, he must have still been stuffed, never known him to skip breakfast dessert. It landed 13 minutes ago, so now it is all down to immigrations the ME. Edited at 08:12 PM. |

Day 3: Spyglass Grill breakfast
As mentioned already, I decided to take it easy today to give my blisters more time to heal and so I stand a better chance of being ready for tomorrow when we are both here. So it was back to the Spyglass Grill for breakfast. I turned up very early and decided to take my very leisurely time over breakfast as this was to be a quiet day.
I ordered the Breakfast Cuban which is a pressed sandwich with pulled pork, ham, scrambled eggs and cheese. I also ordered a latte, I have not had one of those for a few days. Although I mobile ordered from my room and have six corridors a flight of stairs and a short walk, they hadn’t actually picked my order up off the machine that spits it out by the time I arrived. No matter, I just wanted to try mobile ordering for the first time. I received my latte first, the photo is as it arrived, three quarters full. I have been known to go back and ask for lattes to be filled up, but I didn’t bother today. My sandwich was soon ready for me to pick up at the counter. I find lattes can be hit and miss, this one was a good latte and I enjoyed it, wished I had gone back to get it filled up properly once I had started it. The sandwich was also really lovely, I am not sure if any of the photos do it justice, it maybe looks like it is a bit dry and cold, but it was not dry and it was heated perfectly. I had a nice table on the side closest to the lake view and spent quite a pleasant time here alternately people watching and sky liner watching. |

That's half a cup of coffee! I wouldn't have been happy too. The sandwich doesn't look dry at all it looks lovely and so full of meat! Glad you had a nice relaxing breakfast and were able to rest your feet xx

Such a shame you had to miss your Sebastian’s ADR, we’re planning to eat there next year and I’d have loved your thoughts on it. You must be so frustrated that your feet have scuppered your plans a little. A pity about the room service food, I believe it comes from Pop Century.
I had that sandwich at Spyglass Grill last year and didn’t enjoy it but your looks delicious! I’d definitely give it another go. Hope your feet are feeling better and you've solved your footwear quandary. |

Nev’s travel day: Inflight
After we cancelled our BA first class flights (via Atlanta) and rebooked with Virgin, Nev very gallantly insisted I travel UC and as he was coming another day assured me he would be fine in economy. Apparently he only really travelled in premium classes to keep me company. So here is his journey in his own words and pics.
On my flight over on Virgin I would be having dinner (at lunchtime) and high tea. The dinner entree was a Japanese cucumber salad. Unfortunately I detest cucumber so this was left unopened. The main options were chicken in mushroom sauce, a paneer and cauliflower curry and a pancetta macaroni cheese. I chose the mac and cheese as a safe option. It was a nice dish but the pasta was over cooked. The dessert (called “pudding” on the menu) was a Gu pot. The high tea contained a mozzarella roll with pesto, which I did not enjoy and a scone with jam and clotted cream which I did. Although the clotted cream was slightly frozen. Overall kind of what I was expecting from airline food. Although some of the options would put off more than just me. I did ask him what the dessert / pudding issue was. He replied that a pudding is a type of dessert and so this annoyed him. |

Just caught up, it’s a shame nev couldn’t get you some Epsom salts from the airport for your feet .
It’s often socks or sweating feet that cause the blisters , hope you get sorted soon. Great food so far
