Planet Hollywood never seems to get good reviews but we’ve always enjoyed it, at one time you used to get a voucher from Virgin I think for a free burger I think. Glad you enjoyed it, it does look delicious 👍

Was the food hot? That's always been a problem previously.

The Polite Pig will keep for another year, I would like to try it one day.

I actually cut the waffle fry in two, but Nev let me have both halves.

It is amazing isn’t it? I don’t think I have seen anything quite like it before.

We liked Planet Hollywood too, and your experience just proves that if you fancy somewhere you should try it for yourself.
Yes shame about Mama Melrose, I think I just picked badly. I liked the meatballs and it had other pluses. I have decided to try out another Italian before we leave.

Food twin!

The set up at Geyser point is so confusing - when we went, for quick service they were directing you to the window, but there was no seating for that; we only wanted (a few rounds) of alcoholic drinks so were seated in the bar area.
I really think it should be on dining plan as 2TS, it would help getting numbers up and reviews up like on tripadvisor.

We will definitely be back to this places. No question about it, there was a grilled cheese monster sandwich on the menu that I need to try one day.

We've stayed away from PH due to reading poor reviews but your pics are definitely making me rethink for next time

Talking Day 13: Plaza ice cream parlour lunch

I have been keen to get to the ice cream parlour to acquire a Minnie skirt dish rather than to eat ice cream. We turned it into lunch as we had not had anything else so far. I might get a Mickey pretzel later for dessert, I haven’t had one of those yet, I keep missing the stands.

We had a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla. Nev said it was nice, I was fairly indifferent to the ice cream, I like the soft scoop variety much better.

It is very hot 🥵 today, so we were pleased to find a table in the shade and watched a little bit of the show held in front of the castle and ten seconds of daytime fireworks.

We also had a strange experience at Geyser pointe. Told there were no tables even though we could see some. So I asked if I should have made a reservation and was told they don’t take them. And then we were given one of the empty tables without waiting. I enjoyed my meal but found the service very odd.

Shame about Mama Melrose, the calamari were lovely last time we went there. I’d be disappointed with the cauliflower too.
Galaxy Edge looks fun, I’m not sure I could actually try the blue milk! Planet Hollywood burger looks yummy.

Day 13: Snack

I finally got my Mickey pretzel at random stand in MK yesterday. I always enjoy my pretzel and the plastic cheese, but the tubs of it are far too big and a lot gets thrown away.

Day 13: Grand Floridian club lounge

We changed hotels today and will be spending the last five nights at the Grand Floridian club level. We are in the outer buildings so we have the Sugar Loaf Club Lounge, I was a bit disappointed not to be in the main building at first but it was a complimentary transfer and the room is much bigger and nicer than the Wilderness Lodge, although the bathroom is smaller.

After a very tiring day due to heat, we decided to stay in the lounge for the evening service. I managed to take some photos of the spread before the masses arrived. My three plates are also shown, Nev’s had similar although he tried some of the meatier dishes as per the final plate / photo.

We thought it was a very good offering and easy to make a dinner out of it. I had been puzzled as to what the small square pots of red stuff were and discovered it is the strawberry soup from 1900 Park Fare. Very nice. The chicken nuggets were a hit with me and many other guests, I saw many leave the lounge with plates piled high with them.
