Just getting around to catching up on it all now With reading it all in one go I should have made notes, but I didn't, so I'll just comment on what I can remember. Apologies in advance, my memory is not what it was!

The meals on your flight out looked a bit measly, and odd too. Poor show on the drinks service front as well.

Your food at Orleans Grapevine looks delicious, particularly your main meal. Also the breakfast cake at Another Broken Egg. Oh, and I loved your egg jokes in that segment too .

Food looks good at the Court of Two Sisters, and sounds like there is a lovely atmosphere there too.

Andy's sandwich at Groucho's looks delicious. In fact the whole meal looks fresh and lovely, and at a great price too. Sometimes the simplest meals are the best.

Excellent cocktail score too. Really enjoying following along on Insta, from your recent pics Savannah looks like a beautiful place to visit.

Great read so far, now that I've started I'm going to try to keep up to date.

Thanks Lynda. Thankfully the dreadful flight is a distant memory .. so is New Orleans now, but it didn’t disappoint Savannah was probably the hit out of all the new places we saw. It’s occupying meal of the trip at the moment too

We have had a real mix of food this trip and as you say some of the best have been the simplest.

The Olde Pink House, Abercorn Street

Before getting to dinner we had stopped for a drink . Thirsty work this sightseeing.

I had a Pink House. Very apt. Eddys is flavoured vodka

The bar was quiet but nice

Then we had the wine and cheese social in the hotel lobby from 5.30

At 6.30 we walked all of two minutes to the Old Pink House

This is next door to the Planters Inn where we stayed on Reynolds Square. It was at one point a bank . It’s all in the original rooms. We were upstairs in what was the managers office. It was all low lighting, very posh and almost impossible to take pics without including other diners which I didn’t feel was appropriate . I can only say the setting was very well done

I had a Pink Lady

Andy had a bottle of red wine

Then we had the bread service

While perusing ...

We shared the scallops to start as we had already stuffed ourselves on the cheese social

Then the mains.

Andy had the rib

I had the pecan crusted chicken

Oh my both were delicious. Mine had a cooked sweet potato with a sweet sauce and collard greens. It was amazing. Andys mash was heavenly. I cannot tell you how delicious this was.

And then ...

Dessert...

Art on a plate...

Honey pecan praline basket with ice cream and fruit for Andy

And

Pumpkin Pie with toffee pecan sauce for me

In an actual baby pumpkin

Which was also edible !

OMG

It was all divine, like food of angels plus our server Chris was fantastic.

Everyone was actually, the maitre d , the in house singer who visited every table, the other servers who checked in on us , all of them.

Amazing. 11/10 Worth every penny/cent

Everything on King St looked good, can’t believe you forgot to pick up the cheesecake! The Old Pink House looks absolutely divine, the desserts look fabulous-love the pumpkin.

Those desserts... wow ... they certainly hit the spot 😋. Not so sure about the singer, those kind of things embarrass me, I never know where to look!

Oh my goodness the menu! And the food!

Very reasonably priced too.

I’m REALLY looking forward to going to work now rather than eating that!

That’s the second dessert I have left behind.

Ah she just came over to ask if you wanted a song and if not she just chatted and moved on so it was ok. She had an amazing voice !

Ha ha. It was good wasn’t it.
Food has been a bit more eclectic since arriving in Florida

Breakfast at Planters Inn

This turned out to be much more substantial than we expected and had been included in the price .. double bonus!

A good choice of pastries , sausages that were a bit spicy, scrambled egg, grits, oatmeal. It’s the first place I saw a big pot of hot melted butter to ladle on your toast or waffles. Too weird. I’m always much more feeble at breakfast plates than Andy

I did take a couple of the little muffins for the car journey.

Outback Steakhouse, Palm Coast

Hadn’t been on the plan as we had left Savannah before lunch and arrived earlier on the coast than expected.
We were hungry after unpacking and doing the Walmart shop

Look at how feeble it is when you don’t bring the kids

I haven’t posted the menu .. it’s the same as every other Outback

BlackBerry martini for me

And you can see the bread in the background. Swiftly inhaled seconds after the photo

I had the filet with lobster - generously donated to Andy
He had the rib

He has mac and cheese as one of his sides.
It was too much so we brought a few bits back with us.. including a dessert which I didn’t forget this time !

However. We were tired and did forget Andys credit card . Fortunately it was there the next day and we were able to collect it.

Oh my goodness, your meal at the old pink house looks amazing. I think I would have had the chicken pot pie. Andy's rib looks really succulent, and it sounds like a very classy setting. Love your little pumpkin pudding, so cute.

Nice spread at breakfast in your hotel. The food at Outback looks fine, worrying that you left your card though. So glad you got it back. We haven't been to an Outback for about 9 years, we'll maybe give it a try again this year.
