Nice spread at breakfast in your hotel. The food at Outback looks fine, worrying that you left your card though. So glad you got it back. We haven't been to an Outback for about 9 years, we'll maybe give it a try again this year.
It was an outstanding dinner Lynda. One of our best ever.

Yeah even more worrying we didn’t realise till the next day. They were very good though and very thorough on his I.D before they handed it back.

Luckily as it’s Revolut the transactions pop up on his phone so we knew it hadn’t been used and he froze it as soon as he realised

Just catching up again. It all looks fab, especially the Old Pink House food. Those photos have me drooling!

Glad Andy managed to rescue his forgotten card!

Have to agree to your Walmart trolley looking a bit feeble for a holiday shop though - you can definitely tell that you don’t have teenagers with you!

You know we have still managed to overshop

It’s been very laid back dining since arriving in Florida. I’ve got a few days behind now. Need to crack back on !

Johnny Ds , Flagler Beach

Pitched up at midday. Locals bar opposite the beach.

Sex on the Beach for me

Big menu

We chose appetisers. Andy went for the taste of steak and I had a quesadilla

All very tasty and fresh

Outback Take 2

Not quite ... but dinner after our trip to Johnny Ds was the food we had taken away from Outback ...

But first , We had wine and nibbles on our balcony

These were ace

Watching the boats go by

Then we walked to The European Village which was about 10 minutes along the waterfront

Where we had a drink in Farley’s

Before returning home for our leftovers

The Oreo/mousse dessert was

Barefoot Bill’s, St Augustine

It was the Sunday of Columbus weekend and by lunchtime it was very busy everywhere.

Lots of places on George Street looked packed out. We ended up here by accident as it’s at the end of a row of shops and as it was really quiet, we decided to try it out.

Not fancy but the food was good and the service was friendly

Andy had a burger

I had the mermaid flatbread. This was delicious. A bit spicy but really tasty

The fries were super salty tho. I couldn’t finish them

5th Element, European Village

After a busy morning sightseeing we had some time by the pool

Snackage was required

Isn’t that a great mini cooler. Wine, water and coke. 👌

Plus these

Which I can’t recall seeing in the UK. They are delicious!

We walked along the waterway to the European Village again but this time stopping at The Cork and Pint.

This was a really friendly place. It’s more of a rock bar than it looks. The bar tenders and other patrons shared appetisers with us of nachos and wings .

I chose a Chalk Hill rose which was almost red in colour.

Very different and very nice

Then we headed over to the Indian restaurant.

Yep an Indian restaurant.

Never done that before over here

It had got really good reviews from locals

It was packed outside so we opted for inside .

We had the place to ourselves .. as Andy demonstrates by accompanying the Bollywood musical numbers playing with his own Dad dancing

Yes Strictly contenders take note

On to the food.

These arrived while we were looking at the menu. To be honest, bit over cooked

The menu

Andy went for the mixed Tandoor and keema naan

That’s my chapati in the foreground

I had the Chicken Biryani but asked for pot of masala sauce on the side

Well this was all scrummy. Incredible flavours. We had been unsure if it would compare to our favourite Indian at hone but wow this was outstanding.

Even with finding an unexpected egg in the middle of my dish

This meal was delicious and we pretty much ate the lot
