We loved Geyser point when we stayed at WL.
At that point( 2 years ago) it was QS in the lounge 😊. Shame the burger didn’t live upto expectations |

I was so disappointed! I really wanted to love it so I might try it again in future, I think if it wasn't overdone it might have been yummier.
I agree about needing more cheese! If it had been in queso I'd have been in heaven. Thank you for reading! Definitely try out Geyser Point sometime in the future, it was a bit of a haven from the parks. Thank you Bev, that's very helpful. I was so relieved to arrive! We were so tired we didn't even have a look around, just crashed out. Thank you for reading! It was very good, a great sharing item. I hope they still do allow QS in the lounge, I really am annoyed at myself for not double checking, very bad trip reporting! Thank you for reading! |

From #5 Wilderness Lodge we took the boat to #6 the Contemporary and the next drama.
We’d never used the boat dock at the Contemporary before and I was excited to see the silver Mickey statue for the first time. A couple ask us if we would take their picture and they took ours in return. We saw them heading into The Wave for lunch (I was jealous). We stopped for a restroom break then headed upstairs to have a look in the stores. I saw something I wanted to take a picture of but I couldn’t find my phone! I was using a little Primark Disney backpack as my park bag but as it was on my back it wasn’t convenient for getting to my phone, so I’d been putting it in the reusable shopper we were carrying our purchases of the day in. I knew I had put my phone in the bag straight after we’d had our picture taken, and I also knew I hadn’t had it out in the restroom as that’s icky. Had I been pickpocketed in Disney World!? Had I been scammed by the couple who took our picture?! Did she steal my phone and hand me something else that I just tossed in my bag without another thought!? I did consider marching into The Wave and accusingly the poor lady of this I went back to restroom to check if it was there. No sign. I go to the front desk to explain the sorry story. The CM asks me what kind of phone it is? What colour is it? Then he says he’s going to check if anything has been handed in. Whilst we are waiting a manager comes over to ask if we are okay, we explain what we are doing and she said ‘Oh I just saw someone go back there with a phone about five minutes ago’. THE RELIEF! The first CM comes back with my phone and says all he needs me to do is unlock it. Of course, I am now a nervous wreck, I can’t remember my code, I enter my bank PIN, the safe code for work, my till code for work, before I can compose myself enough to get it right. Disney magic is real! At this point my phone went into my backpack and stayed there. Hence there being no photo evidence of resorts #7 Old Key West, #8 Saratoga Springs and #9 Port Orleans French Quarter. It was late afternoon by the time we reached POFQ and I wanted us to have a rest before dinner so we abandoned our quest for the moment. Later we headed back out for dinner at resort #10 Animal Kingdom Lodge. BOMA We were just about to check in for dinner when I realised, I didn’t have my phone again! No lie. We had valet parked and I had to ask them to check if it was in the car for me just in case, I’d lost it elsewhere. SO EMBARASSING. How Nik didn’t blow his top with me I will never know. The phone was retrieved from the car and the poor valet CM was tipped handsomely. Those guys can run. At this point I decided I needed to buy a crossbody bag. Boma was one of our cancelled ADRs from last year so I was excited to be beginning work on my Unfinished Business quest. For once the check in area was not a mess of people and we were seated quickly. The cast members here as always so friendly and chatty. Boma is a buffet but has a menu that switches out daily. You can see their menu here: disneyworld.disney.go/en.../menus/dinner/ The restaurant was busy, as it always is, with lines for the buffet, so I didn’t even attempt to take any photos. This is my adult plate. I had fufu, roasted salmon, Durban-style roasted chicken with barbecue sauce, chicken salad with chilli cilantro and spice-crusted beef sirloin. I am drooling just thinking about this! The fufu tasted like sweet potato mash, so yummy. The salmon was a little overdone, as Disney salmon tends to be, so I would probably give this a miss in future. The chicken on the bone is so juicy and paired really well with the barbecue sauce. I love coriander so the salad was right up my street. Finally, the sirloin, I was so annoyed I couldn’t persuade Nik to try this as it was to die for. I didn't even need any of the sauces they had on offer with it. Nik’s plate from the kid's section Yes, that is mac and cheese, a meatball, mash potato and gravy and a corn dog. He was very happy. The soups rotate each night, I believe there’s five each day and we tried three. At the top is Butternut Squash, Nik really liked this but it had a bit of a kick to it that was too much for me. Next, Chicken-Corn Chowder, this was my favourite one. I like my soups thick, this one had a great texture and was very creamy. Lastly, the Curried Butter Seafood. They didn’t scrimp on the seafood which was great, tasted nice but a bit watery for me. We had some bread with our soup, it was bread haha. Then some pitta bread and hummus. I didn’t write down what flavours the hummus were but I think one was red pepper and the other was a cilantro one. Finally, the best part of the buffet. The desserts! Our plates were very similar so I only took a picture of Nik’s. Zebra domes, my no.1 Disney snack, I ate so many that I had to go to the bathroom as I thought I was going to be sick. Classy. Kenyan Coffee Tarts, which are like a little coffee truffle, heaven! The little tart was a cookie and cream cheesecake, I didn’t try this one but Nik loved it. Dinner came to $104.37, it is pricey but excellent use of a TS credit. Boma is Disney’s best buffet for breakfast and dinner, I absolutely love it and would urge anyone who hasn’t tried it to go. It's definitely going on the list for next year. After dinner we headed to our home for the night #11 All-Star Movies. I absolutely loved this resort and definitely want to stay here for a full trip sometime in the future. I was so sad we were only staying for one night. So 11 resorts visited in one day, I was disappointed not to have completed our quest but with the Skyliner down it just wasn't to be. Next we check into Coronado Springs and the Deluxe dining plan kicks in! |

Such a shame you mislaid your phone, not once but twice. At least you managed to get it back both times. My phone has fingerprint recognition for the screen lock, but I'm sure I could muck that up under pressure!
I totally agree you need a cross body bag. My phone is in and out of it all the time at wdw for the MDE or photos, so there's no way I could live with a back pack. Or was 'losing your phone' part of your plan to get a new hand bag? Nik will have been convinced you needed one so no arguments from him. The day seems really fun, such a good idea to try to see all the resorts in one day. You did pretty well. The dinner at Boma does look good, not sure I want to pay those prices oop though, I'm not sure how I'm going to fit everything in. Looking forward to the DxDDP starting to see whether you made it to all your cancelled ADRs from last year.

I had to laugh when you said about your post- zebra dome visit to the loo . A similar thing happened to me our first visit to Le Cellier when I finished my steak and decided it was too good to waste what was left of Marie’s. We’d filled up on pretzel breadsticks you see.

Oh my goodness on the three goes on the runway, the drive from the airport and the phone!
Great start, I can't believe the amount of places and food you want to try. (And you have reminded me of even more things we didn't manage to try, just from your lists pre-holiday.) Sitting in the lounge of Geyser Point is a quick service credit, we went there on our second Friday. I loved it there, such a good location and the service was good. Looking forward to reading more xx

So funny (although I'm sure not at the time) for you to lose your phone twice in one day. I tend to use my Olympus Tough camera on holiday and I have a wrist strap for it otherwise I'd lose it constantly!
I love Boma, it actually feels like you're eating something varied and healthy as well. Although I'm not sure how much healthy applies if you eat so many zebra domes haha. I really liked the little oreo cheesecake tart things! |

So glad you managed to get your phone back! I'd have been panicked too. As Abby said a great excuse to get a crossbody bag I hope you got one later in the holiday.
You did so well to manage 11 resorts in a day! Very impressed. The food at Boma looks lovely, but very pricey. I'm so excited to see the DxDDP start, I enjoyed the last one so much and can't believe just how much food you get on it x
