To answer your question about the Magic Bands, they sort of solved it. All will be revealed later!
We will be OOP for part of our trip next year and I am going to have to put a lot of thought into where we'll be eating. I suppose you could argue that the elephant ears could be shared but absolutely not worth the money. Snack credits are wonderful! Thank you for reading! I agree about having to have the dining plan onsite. You can budget for everything but when the OOP cost is right in front of you it is scary, and to think there's only two of us! The burger patty itself was so yummy that I think it would be find without all of the toppings. I forgot that you were on of those strange people who don't like mayonnaise I am going to have to get everyone to rate their Kiplings for me and show me how much I can squeeze in. I wanted to try the cinnamon roll too but I knew Nik wasn't going to help me eat them so I had to be sensible and just pick one I did go back for the cinnamon roll another time but the line was huge. I felt like the burger was a bit of a 'safe' option and did think I should be ordering something more exciting, but I am really glad I went for it. Maybe Marie could be persuaded to split two dishes with you?! I have such a sweet tooth I think I have quite high standards when it comes to sweet snacks, at least the elephant ears looked cute! I would definitely recommend Yak & Yeti as one of your OOP meals, it was reasonably priced I thought. P.S. Stop pretending Mr. Grump gets a say I think you've spoiled yourself for the future having stayed at AKL! I'm excited to find out where you eventually book. I agree, I thought Yak & Yeti's prices held up pretty well against QS. Hi Diane! Definitely get to Yak & Yeti, we hadn't been since 2013 and we are baffled as to why now. It was SO good. Almost time! I am so excited for you, but also sad that it is going to be over. We didn't get to try the fries with the old toppings I am sad about that as I love tzatziki. Definitely do Yak & Yeti next time, it will be one of the first on the list for us. The fries were great, definitely look out for those in future! Thank you for reading! |

Another vote for Kipling bags here, I have a few cross body ones, my laptop bag and some large bags that I use as hand luggage.
Great to see the yak & yeti review as I have that earmarked for our meal with the landry card

MAYA GRILL
Maya Grill was our destination for dinner, this has been a near miss for us more times than I can count and I was excited to finally be eating there. It was a nice stroll across the lake from Rancho to El Centro. You can see the menu here: disneyworld.disney.go/en...a-grill/menus/ The restaurant was busier than I expected which was nice as it added to the atmosphere. I was disappointed that they don’t bring you complimentary tortilla chips here as some Mexican restaurants do. They were an appetizer option but I had my eye on something else. Queso Fundido Monterey Jack Cheese, topped with Chorizo and Fresh Avocado served with Warm-Flour Tortillas This was very different to what I expected, but still very tasty. I had thought the cheese would be melty and gloopy, like a dip, but it had more of a rubbery consistency, similar to halloumi, but not as firm. The fresh tortillas were really nice. Great start to the meal and a great dish to share. Nik had Sopa de Tortilla Cilinatro Broth, Chili Serrano, Sour Cream, Fresh Avocado, Toasted Guajilo Peppers, Tortillas Strips This doesn’t look like the most appetising of dishes but we loved it. It tasted like nacho cheese dip. Lots on the menu appealed but I played it pretty safe and had Tacos de Camaronies Mexican Beer Tempua-battered Shrimp with Red Cabbage, Pico de Gallo and Salsa Verde served with Warm Flour Tortillas, Esquites, and Cilnatro White Rice Look at this portion! Loved these. The shrimp had a gorgeous light batter and the vegetables were very fresh and added a lovely crunch. The salsa verde was served on the side, which I was grateful for as I am not the biggest fan of spice, I dipped my tacos in it and it had a nice kick but wasn’t too hot. ‘Esquites’ is a corn dish, it was creamy, cheesy and buttery, basically all of my favourite things. I couldn’t stop eating it. Nik had Enchiladas de Pollo en Salsa Roja Chipotle Chicken Breast, Crispy Onions, Black Beans, and Guajilo Chile Sauce The photo doesn’t do justice to the size of this portion, it was huge! Nik had no hope of finishing it. They didn’t hold back with the cheese and look how loaded with filing this dish was? Nik really enjoyed it; it was a bit too spicy for me. The chicken was really tender. Enchiladas is one of Nik’s favourite dinners and he said mine are better haha. We found both dishes would be perfect for sharing. Instead of giving us a dessert menu the server brought out a tray bearing all of the delicious dessert options so we could choose, nice upselling technique I thought. We decided to go for the Dessert Shots. I had Cappuccino Dulce de Leche and Nik had Peanut Butter Parfait Nik declared this tiny little $4 dessert to be the best he has ever had in Disney. It tasted like a Snickers ice cream. I’m not sure I’d say you should make a point of visiting Maya Grill, as their menu is very similar to the more conveniently located Mexican restaurants in Epcot and at Disney Springs, but if you’re staying at Coronado Springs it is a great option. I am glad we finally tried it. Mine was delicious too and they were the perfect size. Dinner came to $93.28 but thankfully the DxDP was now taking care of our meals. I tipped $18 as the service had been excellent, the table next to us were conventioneers and were pretty hard work, I thought the poor server had the patience of a saint. It was so nice not having far to travel back ‘home’ at the end of the night. Can you have too many Magic Bands?! DxDP Daily Cost: $232.50 Actual Daily Spend: $106.04 DxDP Cost to Date :$106.04 Actual Cost to Date: $106.04 Table Service Credits: 2/72 Snack Credits: 2/48 Unfinished Business: 2/12 Tips: $18 |

Thank you for the bag recommendation!
Hope you enjoy Yak & Yeti, a great choice with your Landry Card. We do like T-Rex and Rainforest but Y&Y is a bit more special |

Lol why so many magic bands!
Maya Grill looks really nice actually and it must be really nice to just roll home to bed after dinner. Those tempura prawn tacos are right up my street- no icky mayo or sour cream on them lol! If we manage to do Disney again with the little one in 5yrs or so I wanted to stay at Caribbean Beach but I'd definitley consider Coronado as well, it looks really nice. |

Enjoying reading along but now I am thinking twice about having bought Loungefly Backpacks for me, DD and DS's GF at the outlets given the problems you had misplacing your phone. I used a Kipling bag on the days we were in the parks (It is a red Mickey Mouse Rira Crossbody I bought in the Kipling UK Sale) and it held 2 phones, tissues, wallet and a kipling pouch with "ladies/girls essentials". It's a bit too small for day to day use so bought a few more for my collection from the outlets (all 70% off) including an Alice in Wonderland one that will be great as a travel bag for my next holiday.

I recently had two of those things, the McGriddle and the burger at Yak and Yeti so it was nice to see your views as I enjoyed both as well. Looking forward to more although the amount of credits you still have to come is frightening!

You got lucky with McD's: it's closing in a few days for an extensive remodel and won't open back up until some time in 2020.

We haven't been to Maya Grill for a good few years. I was disappointed on that visit but looking at your pics and comments I think it's about time we gave it another go. I fancy trying to defeat the enchiladas
