I would definitely try to fit in an extra morning to get a boarding group for ROTR, even if it is only as a plan B in case you don't get one on your first visit. I'm finding HS is really difficult to plan this time because even if you do manage to get a boarding pass you've no way of knowing what time you'll be called.

I'd be tempted to try and squeeze in an extra day at Universal - is there any way you could do an overnight stay for FOTL passes as then you'd be able to get loads done so might only need the morning on the second day and could combine the day with one of the fireworks shows.

On your first two days I would move MK to Sunday eve and Epcot to Mon eve so you've visited all 4 parks in the first 2 days before a day offsite. Then on the Wed you could do MK, then AK.

What time will you be back at Disney after getting off the Dream? I'm wondering if having 2 parks plus a water park/golf might be a bit much that day?

I'd probably try to do all 4 parks on Mon Tue after the cruise then do Busch and a couple of days at Universal before having the last couple of days back in the Disney parks. I think I would try and put MK and AK on your last two days because they're your favourite parks and if it was me I'd want one last visit.

Sorry that has turned into quite a lot of waffle! I hope some of my confused thoughts are helpful.
That was my thinking, I thought crazy day would be well suited followed by a few days rest!

Hmm with you Abby and Kelly saying the same thing I think I need to relook at Hollywood studios. We weren't bothered about getting a boarding pass but now I'm thinking we should at least try? I found Hollywood studios hard to plan as I've seen the mornings there to be chaos as people are going for boarding passes then standing and queues were awful.

We defiantly want another day at universal I wasn't sure where to place it in the plan. I did look at an night in the hotel but the cruise has taken us over out budget oops We did have a family member offer to buy us day express passes so this may be and option but not 100% sure yet.

Oh I do like that idea actually. Thats what I was trying to do however i couldn't seem to make it flow but you've worked that out quite nicely indeed

The day coming off the cruise kind of depends how quickly we get off the ship but as we have a car I thought we might be quicker this year. Last time we were off the ship booked into boardwalk and walked over to Hollywood studios by 11am. We might miss the water park or golf that day probably is slightly too much with a later start. I think 2 parks should be ok as i picked the parks we aren't going to be spending as much time at for that day.

You've made some great points thank you for your help! I'm going to have another look and tweak the plan with everyone's ideas.

The problem I have is on the day after the cruise where we start at Epcot this is because we will be getting off the cruise that morning so theres no chance of getting a boarding pass that day.I suppose i could go early morning to hollywood get a boarding pass (or try) then head to another park. What I'm worried about is going to Hollywood early getting a pass then being stuck in the morning chaos as I've seen even at rope drop the ride queues to be 100 mins.

We don't tend to put aside afternoons for water parks as a couple of hours is more than enough for us.

I haven't even thought about fireworks gosh. We definitely are firework people. I need to figure out whens best to go. We tend to go the first week for fireworks as well as we dont struggle as much to stay out later.

No we have 14 day passes i wasn't sure where to place the day as we already have one day after the cruise so i didn't know if i needed to squeeze it into the first week or not? xx
It's so hard isn't it. What about the Monday in the first week trying for the RoTR boarding pass instead?

I know it's probably not the best or most efficient but could you enter HS get the boarding pass and depending on the group head off to another park? Or maybe head to the quieter area in the park (probably do RnR and ToT) as most people will be heading to SDD and GE? I think you have 2 hours to return to HS when your boarding group is announced, so you could head to another park no problem.

Fireworks are a definite must for us You could try and split the fireworks over the 2 weeks just to spread it out a bit. Ahh 2 week tickets make it a little easier. You could swap a Disney day before the cruise for a Universal to break it up a little? X

Hollywood studios is a real pain. ROTR seems to run so differently from day to day that there really is no way to know when you might be called. I think if opening at HS stays early then we might try to go there and then head to another park or maybe a water park once we've got a boarding group unless it's a really low number of course. It looks like to get on one of the main rides with a low wait at rope drop, you really need to be there an hour an a half before opening and standby queues for everything are pretty horrendous

I'm happy to help. Somehow it was quite a bit easier looking at your plan than it was looking at my own. I think sometimes we spend too long looking and tweaking.

I defiantly find it’s easier to look at other people’s plan than my own! I’ve been helping my friend with hers and I find that super easy but mine is a different story!

Plans are looking great I have to admit I am a bit unsure about getting up in time to get a boarding pass...I aren't exactly interested and DH is mildly interested but if the start is really early I just can't see us managing to get up for i... Hopefully will prove myself wrong lol

At least I'm not the only one

From what I've seen the ride is pretty amazing. I've no idea when we're likely to be back again so I think we're definitely going to try at least once.

Yeah I’m the same and getting up early and then not getting one would be very upsetting!

It’s going to our last trip for a while so I feel like it’s something we should try 🙈

Second attempt at my plan

Hey everyone

So after freaking everyone out by saying I wasn't planning on using magic bands at all I've decided that we should probably use magic bands My plan is to try and take the two we had from September 2018 and hope they work if not I believe me and Ryan have decided we will buy new ones once we get there on the first day! so for everyone that was worried for us you can breath a sign of relief

I'm trying to stay away from the posts where everyone is commenting about the building work going off at Disney. I know Epcot isn't as pretty as it once was at the moment but I'm sure we will be able to look past this and still enjoy our time there after all theres always work going off somewhere. I've also heard a Disney official has made a comment about the Castle makeover saying they are aware that it will peoples first trip and are taking this into account when doing the makeover therefore the whole castle will not be covered and the nighttime shows will continue. This gives me hope that there wont be a scrim over it and we can still all get our magic photos yay.

I've given my plan another go and for a second draft I'm much happier than I was. It isn't the finished plan but I think the park days are pretty much there. I've fitted in the restaurants but would still like everyones opinions on where i've slotted them in. Still haven't thought about fireworks so that will be looked at when I move onto draft 3

Saturday - Flights/ Villa / Shops / Universal

Sunday - Animal kingdom - Tuskers house ADR/ Pool / Epcot

Monday - Hollywood studios - Homecomin' ADR / Mini golf / Magic Kingdom.

Tuesday - Seaworld / Ohana ADR

Wednesday - Magic Kingdom / Typhoon Lagoon / Animal kingdom

Thursday - 6 Park challenge (probably 5 again as Blizzard beach is closed)

Friday - All aboard the Disney Dream

Saturday - Disney Dream

Sunday - Disney Dream

Monday - Off the Dream / Cocoa Beach for an hour or two / Epcot / Whispering canyon ADR

Tuesday - Volcano Bay / Universal

Wednesday - Busch Gardens / Paddlefish ADR

Thursday - Universal / Volcano Bay / ?

Friday - Animal kingdom / ?

Saturday - Hollywood studios (purely for boarding pass) / Magic kingdom

Sunday - ? // Fly home.

I still have a few gaps. I know people might say leave it and decide on the day but that doesn't really sound like me Let me know what you all think!

I think it looks good. I would probably try for a boarding group on the first morning at HS, then you could have a 2nd attempt to try if you didn't get on first time or a chance to ride again if you loved it or you could just skip HS or go in the evening on that last day.

The plan looks fab, as Jo said if you don't manage to get the boarding pass on your first trip could try the last. The Thursday and Friday of the second week I think I'd plan an evening at Epcot and evening at HS for the fireworks x
