Edited to add he said you can park on Ashton New Road on an unofficial car park but you need to get there really early to get straight out, otherwise you might be right at the back and again you can stuck. HTH
We are hoping to be there early, as we're leaving home at lunchtime. We've got standing/unreserved tickets, and have got to pick them up from the box office too, so want to get there early to collect them. We can then perhaps have a bit of a wander once that's done, and possibly nip to the Asda that was mentioned to pick up a sandwich and nibbles to see us through.

Thank you for all your responses. Will print this page out and take it with me, then update at the weekend for those who are going next week. I can't wait now!

ok guys here we go, firstly do not park in man citys car park(i.e. north car park) it will take youfor ever to get out of car park when concert over, plus the fact the police block the road untill everyone on foot has gone we are probably talking a minimum of 1 hour that would be on a good day? what you need to do is park on one of the few car parks(thats what they are turned into on match days) on , briscoe lane, which is situated off alan turing way, so if the ground is on your left hand side as you are on alan turing way(you will see asda/walmart on your right) keep going approx 300 yards, you will come to a set of lights which has a left hand turn into citys car park(north car park that is) drive on for another 100yards and get in right hand lane turn right at lights(has a filter)that is briscoe lane approx 60 yards down you wil see some car parks, as i say they are not car parks during the day but firms premises, they have plenty staff stood on road and they will guide you in i think its a fiver but expect a tenner if greedy on the night, now if you aint to bothered about your car, carry on down briscoe lane approx 200 yards take first left(unsure of road name) park up there for free, and walk back to ground approx 5 mins easy pace, plus a quick get away after concert, if you are coming down atw from oldham road end, then briscoe lane will be on your left hand side approx 3rd set of lights up you turn left on to it from atw(keep in inside lane) its approx 300 yards up from oldham road, if this doesnt make sense pm me, enjoy the concert, bondy.

Thank you so much for these fantastic directions. These are detailed enough so that even I shouldn't get lost!

Just had a quick thought bondy lad, as we're travelling up and will get there mid afternoon, will the firm premises car parks be open then, or will they only open at night?

i think that they will be open given the fact its , take that and they know folk will be coming from all over, having said that if you do get there early, park up on grimshaw lane or even better drop in asda walmart opp ground and have a bite to eat because to eat at man citys ground you have to mortgage your house, and thats only for a cup of tea.feel free to ask/pm me re anything, i will be there on the night, but only to drop/pick up mrs,b. bondy.
