No Carbs before Marbs?! Day Four - Go Karting

I cannot believe how much sleep these boys seem to need! We were in bed by midnight, eldest two surfaced around 11am, and youngest at 1pm... they get up, then move to the sofa or a sunbed for more bloody sleep! Here is Harry, having just got up early afternoon, having a rest on sofa...

Terry and I popped out this morning to take all the recycling, you have to go to designated recycling areas in the neighbourhood so off we dutifully went.
I had decided we will eat at the villa tonight, to keep the cost down, and also as I quite fancy a walk along the beach later on again, it was so lovely before. I went into Supersol, and got five huge steaks for 17 euros, some oven chips, and salad. What a bargain!

We did some swimming (standard) and then headed out around 3:30 to the nearby Go Karting track, so the boys could have some fun.

It was right near to the big shopping mall, up a massive hill (windy steep roads - mmm my favourite) I am trying so hard not to be a nightmare in the car but its not easy! Poor husband is a saint.

The place looked brand new, we werent sure about the signage, it didnt inspire confidence!

There was literally nobody else there so the men had the track to themselves, and spent no time hanging around, they all went hell for leather round the course, there was a lot of screeching tyres and dust clouds going on! I sat in the shade and took photos. It cost around 35 euros per person for 16 minutes. They were very competitive!

I think they all enjoyed it. Was over pretty quick though, not exactly a day out, we were back at the house after barely an hour. Kieran and Harry set about cooking dinner, George set the table, while we enjoyed some nibbles and wine.

Dinner was lovely, we did have a minor incident with some burnt chips, but overall, it was really good. Second batch of chips were spot on. I feel enormous today and have lost my waist!

I walked down to the beach after dinner, and left the guys to swim in the pool.
Am just catching up on Love Island again. Sorry its not a very interesting trip report this time! I saw this today on facebook, and can relate!

Goodnight dibbers!

Holidays are meant to have days doing not much

The go carting looks like a lot of fun though expensive!

Teenagers do seem to need a lot of sleep and rest! We’re going away tomorrow and my eldest daughter will want to do that and then go out for tea and she’ll be perfectly happy. The younger one on the other hand can’t sit still and would spend all day in the pool if she could. Hope you’re having a good relaxing time (other than the car journeys!)

Go karting looks fun and nice to have the track to themselves.

Love that fb post !
Go karting looked fun but pretty expensive.

How lovely they cooked dinner. Oven chips are pretty devilish to cook I think. Little blighters look underdone for ages and then poof ! charred in nano seconds.
